Vivian’s father, Moris, had tried everything to get her help, but her cataracts meant her world was gradually fading.
Eventually Moris took Vivian all the way to Entebbe Hospital, where the doctors diagnosed cataracts and suspected a condition affecting the light-sensitive retina at the back of the eye, which causes blindness if untreated. But they said there was nothing they could do.
